A Texas advocate, one of mountain biking's best writers, a Canadian champion, and an industry innovator will be inducted into Mountain Bike Hall of Fame. The Induction Ceremony will be held Wednesday, September 26th, 2007, Interbike, Las Vegas.

The inductees selected for placement into the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame include, Hill Abell, a leading mountain bike advocate in the state of Texas, Sal Ruibal, mountain biking's biggest supporter in the mainstream media, Alison Sydor, a world champion MTB racer and Frank Wadleton so much more than a welder.

Elected by a vote of past Hall of Fame Inductees and current Hall of Fame members, these folks will be welcomed into the Hall on Wednesday, September 26th,2007. The Induction Ceremony will be held at 6:30 p.m. during the Interbike Show at the Sand's Expo and Convention Center immediately following the first day of the indoor show. All Interbike attendees as well as the public are invited. Mark your calenders! New Belgium Brewing Company, the makers of Fat Tire Ale, will provide the libations.

The Mountain Bike Hall of Fame & Museum was founded in 1988 in Crested Butte, Colorado. Ten mountain biking pioneers were inducted the first year; three to seven mountain bike legends have been selected annually since then. The 2007 selections bring the number of Hall of Fame inductees to 101 individuals plus four groups. The history of the sport of mountain biking, many of the early fat-tire bikes, and the stories of Hall of Fame inductees are presented at the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame Museum, which is located in lovely downtown Crested Butte.
